The Wake County Public School System

It is estimated that there will be snow and ice in Raleigh, NC. School administrators said the safety and travel concerns prompted their decision to send students home early Monday morning before the winter storm expected to drop snow and ice in many countries. This is exciting news for students who are lazy school.

The Wake County Public School System is one of more than a dozen school districts that decided Sunday to ignore earlier.

Obviously, we understand it can be uncomfortable, "said school district spokesman Greg Thomas." But notice as possible is our goal in making the call. "

Part of the reason, Thomas said, nothing to do with weather events that nearly six years ago that caused major traffic jams on the roads in Wake County.

Snow began falling unexpectedly in the afternoon on January 19, 2005, led the school system to close school early.

Parents have plenty of time to make plans, and the entry of vehicles on the road from parents trying to retrieve their children from school and employees leaving work early due to traffic problems, leaving school buses and even the crew tried to treat the road stuck in traffic.

Some school buses also eventually returned to school for getting caught up in chaos.

About a half inch of snow fell during an unexpected event, but about 3,000 students stranded in schools overnight, and motorists stuck in traffic for hours.

On the basis of that experience, schools were closed to keep things unwanted. All for the sake of safety.
