Suddenly thousands of birds die and fall from the sky. Not only birds, but also various types of fish and kepitung also died for no apparent reason. This is a big Q mark for the citizens of Italy recently.
On Wednesday, GeaPress reported hundreds - possibly thousands - dead and dying birds in Italy. Turtle dove countless found scattered on the streets, in flower beds and hanging from a tree tragic "like a Christmas ball" in the town of Faenza. Many birds are falling dead from the sky was found with mysterious blue stain on their part. What's this?
In recent weeks, similar incidents of mass animal deaths have been reported worldwide. Thousands of dead birds fall from the sky in Arkansas on New Year's Eve, and similar incidents were reported on different days in Louisiana, Kentucky and Sweden. Two million fish was found dead in Maryland, with other fish kills were also reported in Brazil, New Zealand and Arkansas - about 100 miles from the bird incident. 40,000 crabs stranded on the British coast in recent days, too.
GeaPress showed that blue stains found at the mouth of dead and dying birds in Italy could be the result of signs of poisoning or possibly from hypoxia.
While the events that may not be related, most still remain a mystery. The officials suggest that fireworks may be responsible for many deaths of birds and that the exceptional cold weather can be blamed for the death of a strange mass of fish and crabs.
This is a sign of lack wajaran happened in Italy recently, and should the government must investigate the cause of death of these birds.
Both the local forestry department and WWF in Faenza send some dead birds for testing, though the results may not be available for at least a week.
