BEIJING - Crazy! A fast food restaurant Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in Beijing City, China, using caricatures of the President of the United States (U.S.), Barack Obama, replace the face of Colonel Sanders. This incident angered Obama supporters in the United States.
Under the KFC logo, there is a slogan that says, "we are very cool." A spokesman of KFC restaurants in China also confirmed, this restaurant is not affiliated with KFC International.
"It's very insulting, offensive and racist," said an Obama supporter Rev. Al Sharpton, as quoted by the New York Post on Wednesday (10/05/2011).
Something similar happened also in America itself. A restaurant in Harlem, New York, also criticized by the U.S. government because it gives the name of Obama's Fried Chicken.
"I do not want to eat there because of the image, you should not insult the president like that. How can you replace the face of Colonel Sanders with Obama's face and say this is the OFC, not KFC? Treatment is very insulting," said a man named Momodou Jallow.
